“All I need are big dreams and open highways”
We got lucky again and got a really good spot for our booth.

We started off towards SoCal for a car show held at Adelanto, California.

Since we were leaving a day early taking off super early wasn’t necessary, or so it would seem.
Somewhere on the outskirts of Stockton, California we hit a piece of metal that sliced into the side of the tire. This caused a leak that eventually caused a blowout on highway 99 Freeway.

Thanks to the wifey she located a replacement 255/30/22 custom tire and a road service company willing to do the work.

After a couple hours we were back on the road heading down to SoCal. Now time and darkness was not on our side. It was not my idea of a good ride driving through the desert in the darkness of nightfall.

We did eventually make it to our hotel and walked over to the local Dennys for some dinner. The CaDually made it throughout the flat tire ordeal.
I did a show at Stockton today, putting the shop demo truck away for the day. I’ll be unloading tomorrow. I will typically not bag everything at the show and just load up so I can get going.
I’ll bag the canopy and chairs the next day. Depending how close the next show is I may or may not setup the demo rack in the shop.

If you look closely you can see the “Manetarium” sign on the shop outside shop wall. It has held well throughout the years.
I purchased a replacement leaf spring pack at the truck recyclers out in Rancho Cordova.
Turned out the 6 leafs can be fairly damn heavy. I will be taking it apart tomorrow and duplicate the configuration I currently have. I should have used penetrating oil and let it set overnight but I forgot to do that.

Taking apart the replacement leaf spring stack was straight forward. I did have a bit of concern that there would be a small amount of energy while being in the same position.

We were coming back from a car show event that we had a booth. This meant the bed was filled with our booth setup.
While going down interstate 5 the CaDually snapped a driver side spring.

From the photo you can see that the upper leaf spring snapped in the area where the U bolt is secured to the axle.
Tonight I sprayed PBlaster on the bolts and nuts so I can break it free tomorrow. I’m hoping to be able to reuse the U-bolts again if these are not in too bad of shape.

We participated in another Lowrider car show that was held at the Oak Grove Regional Park. The vendor check in time was at 7pm. We typically will schedule our arrival time way before the public entry time. Getting gas and ice seems to be a regular task in the morning day of event.

We get to the venue so early we beat the organizer and the volunteers.
We setup the shop truck for the Original Lowrider Show held at Cal Expo Sacramento CA.

This was a cool event to be at. We had a straight view of the main stage and able to watch the old school bands perform all day.
Great spot for our booth.

Rear demo setup.
I redid the HydroDrop demo rack setup that sits on the slider bed. This is a specific setup used for the street and park shows.
This setup is super fast and efficient setting up. In the past I would literally wire solenoids up, one by one.
We did a few things differently from the past. That means we are learning the trade. There is always room for improvement.

This essentially the same outdoor setup we’ve always used, only a lot cleaner.

We woke up heck of early this morning and headed to Woodland CA. for the annual show. The weather forecast was light rain during the morning hours. We did get a few heavy rain downpours on the way but that’s part of the adventure.

The expected truck count actually registered hit 1000. The spectators were able to enjoy the entire venue minus the VIP lounge for free.
We got detoured into taking another way into Main Street using the West side entrance. We ended up getting a primo spot after I spoke to the staff directing traffic.
